Something I just learnt ten minutes ago:
A cheap $6 air pump works better than an expensive $40 impeller
system when it comes to mixing hot water with cold water. 
Oh well.... research is all about making mistakes and learning
from them.
Besides, I can claim the money from my prof later. 
the $40 impeller didn't work cos u were the one using it?!
